Laura Prael

Laura Prael is an award-winning speaker, digital marketer, and entrepreneur, and a champion for equality, education and the environment.

Laura is an accomplished award-winning speaker, copywriter, digital marketer and entrepreneur with broad experience working in senior digital communication roles for companies of all sizes. As a digital expert, she’s previously worked on campaigns for organisations including Google Australia, Westpac, Kellogg’s Australia, Sanitarium, Avon, NT Tourism, and NSW State Government. Her work has seen her travel for projects in Sydney, Auckland, London and Los Angeles.

Today, she’s best known for founding a fast-growing global digital content marketing agency, LEP Digital. The company is now in its eighth year, employs a team of eight, and has garnered wide industry acclaim.

Laura and her company have been featured in media outlets including Smart Company, Mumbrella, B&T Magazine, Sydney Morning Herald, News.com.au, The Daily Telegraph, Business Chicks, and ABC Radio Canberra.

As an advocate for education, Laura has mentored and trained hundreds of professionals over her 16-year career on topics including brand building, social media, search engine optimisation, content marketing, and career development. She has supported women and young people to succeed through pro-bono mentoring and presenting roles in organisations including The Opportunity Collective, Illuminate Education, UNSW, The University of Newcastle, and Macquarie University.

Laura has served as an expert mentor for the Australian Government’s Boosting Female Founders Initiative and is a presenter for TAFE NSW’s Women in Business program.

On a personal level, Laura is passionate about three e’s: equality, education, and the environment. It’s these values that drive Laura’s work and purpose, energise her talks, and inspire audiences around Australia and internationally.

National CEO Clean-Up Initiative

Laura pioneered an Australian-first fundraising initiative, ‘The CEO Clean-Up,’ for global anti-plastic movement Take 3 for The Sea. The initiative aims to incite behavioural change in business and drive crucial funding for education and lobbying. In its first year, the campaign raised $30K and removed 500kg of plastic from waterways. The event attracted national interest, as is now being rolled out in other cities, including Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast.
